The
Renumber Work Locations dialog allows the user to quickly change the automatically generated work location names in either a GIS design or Offline Design.
Following are the steps to using the dialog:
- Selecting the Work Locations. For specifics, see Selecting your Work Locations
- Modifying the Work Locations:
- Changing the Work Location's names.
- Changing the Work Location's Position.
- Renumber from Selection.
- Applying your changes.
Selecting your Work Locations
In the Design Workspace, select the work locations(s) or path(s) that contain the work locations that you want to renumber.
Note: For multiple selections, use the
CTRL or
Shift keys.
Right-click on top of either one of the work locations or one of the paths and choose Renumber or Renumber Work Locations from the shortcut menus.
Changing the Work Location's Names
- First select one or multiple work locations in either the points or spans list.
- Then select either of the following functions to the right of your work location list:
- Increment Will increment the select work location(s).
- Decrement Will decrement the select work location(s).
Changing the Work Location's Positions
- First select a single work location in either the points or spans list.
- Then select either of the following functions to the right of your work location list:
- Move Up Will move a specific work location up in the list.
- Move Down Will move a specific work location down in the list.
Renumber from Selection
- First select a single work location in either the points or spans list.
- Then select the following function to the right of your work location list:
- Renumber from Selection Will renumber the remaining work locations starting at the current selected work location in the list. It will follow a sequential scheme.
Applying your Changes
Once you have made all of your changes choose the OK button to apply your changes to your design. Depending on your specific configuration, this may or may not allow duplicate work location names. For GIS designs, the work location(s)’s annotation will be updated.
